An outstanding show pony, "Chief" was the 2013 TxPOAC High Point 3 Year Old Stallion and was 2nd in the Nation in 2013!  Showing much talent under saddle, he is a great all-around individual. Now gelded, he earned the honors of high point Jr. Trail Pony for the 2015 show season at the Texas POAC and has carried riders to multiple wins and high point awards in age groups and novice classes. Chief is a large POA at 55 1/2 " (13.3 hands) and carries adult riders with ease. He loves to work and be ridden. He can be pushy on the ground so not for small timid riders.

Chief is used in our lesson program with our intermediate riders both youth and adults.

Santee Stateman is a product of the legendary Gene Carr breeding program - a program that was started in 1964 and produced many great POA's that have had a huge influence on the breed.
