Lakylu Kennels - Puppy & Dog Training

We offer private lessons to the general public and small group lessons for obedience, rally and general manners.

LaRena Phillips is an AKC Evaluator for CGC (Canine Good Citizen) AKC Puppy S.T.A.R. and is available for evaluating all levels of CGC, the AKC Community Canine (CGCA) and Urban CGC (CGC).

LaRena is active with local youth organizations as well, coaching 4-H dog project and is available for clinics and CGC evaluations for AKC clubs, 4H and other organizations.

• Puppy Basics - 2 Week Course Cost $1500 (Puppies 3-12 months old)
• Our basic puppy class is open to dogs 3 to 12 months of age.  This training teaches basic commands and shaping for behaviors such as heel, sit, down, stay and come and is all on leash training. You and your dog will learn these basic commands and you will learn methods of shaping your puppy's behaviors and expose your puppy to other dogs and people.
  • 2 Week in-kennel training for your puppy with 2 private lessons with you and your puppy together.

• Adult Basics - 2 Week Course Cost $2000 (Dogs 12 months and over)
  • Our basic adult class is open to dogs 12 months of age and older.  This training teaches basic commands and shaping for behaviors such as heel, sit, down, stay and come and is all on leash training. You and your dog will learn these basic commands and you will learn how to maintain this routine at home.
    • 2 Week in-kennel training for your puppy with 2 private lessons with you and your puppy together here at the farm.

All Classes Require

• Proof of Current Rabies, Parvo, Distemper and Bordetella
• Dogs should be free of parasites (Fleas, ticks and intestinal parasites)
• Dogs should be on heartworm preventive.

We do not offer public boarding or long term training for the general public. Only puppies and dogs bred by Lakylu Kennels are eligible for board and train.

Private lessons are available to the general public (no boarding) we work with you and your dog. Our focus is to teach you how to communicate with your dog and prepare for Canine Good Citizen Testing, Trick dog, Rally and Obedience competition.
